Adults in Montgomery County can now earn fully accredited Master of Business Administration and Master of Education degrees from Â鶹ÊÓƵ at a new location on Montgomery County Community College’s West Campus, Pottstown, Pa.

Alvernia’s ethics-driven Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program can be completed in as little as one year at regional locations in Reading, Pottsville and now in Pottstown, Pa. The university’s wide-ranging business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Students can also pursue Alvernia Master in Education (MED) degrees with certification in either English as a Second Language (ESL) or Special Education (PK-8 or 7-12) in Pottstown. Alvernia’s ESL program prepares teachers to instruct and support both culturally and linguistically diverse populations. And in addition to coursework that focuses on young students with special needs such as learning disabilities, social/emotional disorders, and autism, the special education certification program also includes coursework in technology, literacy and teaching strategies, and methods for the instruction of students.  

In addition to offering associate degrees and certificate programs,  enables students to pursue advanced degrees at its Central and West campuses and online, via the University Center. Alvernia faculty will staff all classes offered though the Pottstown MBA and MED programs. And like master’s degree programs offered in Reading, Pottsville and Philadelphia, the university’s small class sizes offer personalized attention from faculty members who hold both real-world expertise and impressive academic backgrounds.
