Alvernia's Golden Wolves compete at the NCAA Division III level. Since 2008, the university has been a member of the Commonwealth Conference of the Middle Atlantic Conference, commonly known as the MAC. Alvernia also competes in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Membership in the ECAC provides our teams with extra regional playoff opportunities.


The Golden Wolves have made 35 appearances in NCAA Championship tournaments with Men's Basketball making 9 appearances. Other teams with tournament appearances include Baseball, Women's Basketball, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Field Hockey, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, and Softball.

The Alvernia Athletic Club (AAC) is the annual charitable giving program that benefits all 27 athletic programs. The first 25% of your contribution will support the Alvernia Athletic Club general fund, supporting the department's highest priorities.
